DAY 9 – Baños White water and Waterfall canyons day.
- 6:00 am wake up time
- The first half of the day is dedicated for White water rafting Adventure, level 3 to 5, down the Rio Pastaza magnificence canyons with unique nature views along the path that are not seeing elsewhere. Instructions and safety rules provided by professionals at the site. Rafting Gear provided at the site. (Rafting level is a subject to the River currents condition).
- Our X-treme Challenge adventure continues early afternoon with challenging Waterfall canyons descending following intensive climbing of a very steep Mountain side, up the Waterfalls ridge. We descend there the most spectacular waterfalls array of 6 to 7 waterfalls cascades – some of 100 feet and higher. (equal to approximately 10 stories building) Instructions and safety rules provided by professionals at the site. Descending Gear provided at the site.
- Our adventure day ends up with a free evening at Baños. Baños offers local night activities of your choice. Varieties of restaurants and Cafés, Salsa dance and discos clubs, karaoke and other entertainment centers. It is a safe place to enjoy all kinds of music and the best cocktails. The tradition Ecuadorian music of Pan-flute offered at almost every restaurant, Café and club around town.
- Baños also offers a late night trip to an observation point of the nearby Tungurahua volcano with the intention to see the phenomenon red flares coming out of the Volcano mouth. (Visibility is subject to clear sky nights and to volcano activity at that time). Tungurahua volcano which is closely monitored by scientists is constantly active since October 1999 and showers the skies with her spectacular shows of fire and lava, allowing the observers to partake in one of the world's most impressive natural fireworks displays from the safety of the observation point across the canyon or from Luna Runtun, nestled on the flanks of the volcano. Recently, Tungurahua showing volcanic activities and releasing occasionally plumes of white smoke that is visible throughout the days from distance – a phenomenon view. The night trip up the observation mountain is taken by Baños Party bus where a bonfire is prepared at the observation point to warm you up and a complimentary local warm drink being served. Individual reservations for the night trip can be made locally at a short notice. Our trip leader will assist and direct you to the locations of your choice.
