DAY 10 – Baños leisure day and back to Quito

• Free morning at Baños for leisure time, relaxation, and fun day activities this colorful and unique town offers. Wake up at your pace. (Still, it is recommended to begin your leisure morning activities around 9:00am – if so you choose).
• Baños offers a wide variety of daily fun activities as you can witness at first glance when arriving this town. You can rent four wheels buggy for a nature ride at the nearby hills, go for motocross rides on nearby mountains, horseback rides along amazing paths, or treat yourself in hot springs baths at one of the many local pastorally day spas that offers therapies such as; fang therapy, Pedi therapy, massages, box baths, aromatherapy, etc.
• Such of which is Luna-Runtun adventure spa. Sits on a steep cliff of cloud forest at elevation of about 7875 ft to 10,826ft and nestled on the flanks of the Tungurahua volcano’s, Luna Runtun is the perfect place to relax after 8 days of our X-treme challenge adventures, only 20 minutes drive from Baños town by local taxi. At this location you will witness a spectacular view from above down to Baños below. The tranquility at this location is absolute and the only sounds you can hear are the crystal clear laughter of children and dog barks coming from Baños valley hundreds of feet down below.
• Plan this day activities to be completed around 1:00 pm as we are leaving town back to Quito at 2:00 pm, a trip of approximately 4 to 5 hours.
• On the way back to Quito we stop at Salasaca where the indigenous community is well known for their skilful Back weaving. Every design evokes the ancient gods that are part of their traditions, like the sacred Hill of Teligote, where year after year, at the end of August, there are pilgrimages in which the young Salasacas collect plants to manufacture the dyes with which they color their clothes, as well as essences and medicines.
• Free evening at Quito.
